JOSE CHAYA

Biography

Argentine artist born in 1961 in San Miguel de Tucumán, who currently lives in Valencia, Spain.

He began his artistic career under the tutelage of Beatriz Zelarayan in Tucumán and continued his training at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National University of Tucumán in 1980.

Throughout his career, he has received several awards and recognitions, including the 3rd prize in the ALBA Salon of the Northwest in 1982, and has been part of important artistic movements such as the M.A.a.c. (Argentine Movement of Computerized Art) in 1991.

He excelled as an educator at the Escuela de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón and at the Universidad de Palermo. Since 1997, he has been teaching drawing and painting in his atelier. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs internationally.

In 2022, he moved to Valencia, Spain, where he opened his Art Studio in January 2023.
